About Zygaena laeta Hübner, 1790

Description: For Zygaena laeta, the collar, patagia, and the apical half (or more) of the abdomen are red. The wings are testaceous red, with the exception of some black spots on the forewing. The larva is light bluish green, with white dorsal and lateral lines that have black dots along them. The pupa is yellow, with a dark brown anterior region, and is contained within a whitish cocoon. The wingspan of Zygaena laeta ranges from 26 to 34 mm. Distribution: This species is found in Central and South-Eastern Europe.
