About Zinnia haageana Regel

Zinnia haageana Regel is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family, native to Mexico. This annual species cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. As a result, it must be sown under cover in temperate climates, then transplanted outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. It grows to around 40 cm (16 inches) tall, and prefers a growing location with full sun. The cultivar 'Aztec Orange', which produces double orange flowers, has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
