Zeltnera beyrichii (Torr.) G.Mans. is an annual plant native to the New World. It is commonly known by three common names: mountain pink, quinine weed, and rock centaury. This plant blooms from late spring to early fall. Before 2004, this species was classified under the name Centaurium beyrichii. Early North American pioneers used it as a medicinal plant; the dried flowers of Zeltnera beyrichii were used to reduce fevers.
