About Zantedeschia albomaculata (Hook.) Baill.
Zantedeschia albomaculata (Hook.) Baill. is commonly known as the spotted calla lily (note that Calla is a separate genus) or the white spotted arum. It is a species of flowering plant in the arum family, Araceae. Compared to the larger Zantedeschia aethiopica, which is also commonly called "calla lily", this species has leaves that are somewhat smaller, thinner, and slightly more pointed, with attractive white speckling on the leaf surface. The plant spreads laterally underground via a rhizome or tuber, whose nodes (also called "eyes") sprout and produce new shoots. Its inflorescence matches the typical form of the Araceae family, with a white, funnel-shaped spathe (a modified bract) and a yellowish spadix at its center. In modern cultivation, many color variations have been developed, with spathe colors ranging from white with splashes of other colors, through bright yellow, to deep purple that is almost black. Different forms of Zantedeschia albomaculata are commonly sold in stores and garden centers, both as potted plants and as bare-root rhizomes for outdoor planting.
