Zale calycanthata, commonly known as the double-banded zale, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first described in 1797 by James Edward Smith and John Abbot. It can be found in eastern North America. Adult moths of this species fly in large numbers from March to April, and there are also recorded sightings of adults between February and May.
