Yoyetta repetens was formally described by Emery, Emery and Poople in 2015. This species has a forewing length ranging from 21 to 26 mm. It is distributed in eastern New South Wales, Australia, found across the region between western Sydney and Goulburn, with an additional isolated population located in the Mogo area. Its preferred associated habitat is eucalypt woodland, which includes both parkland and remnant roadside vegetation.
