Xyris jupicai Rich., commonly known as Richard's yelloweyed grass, is a New World flowering plant species that belongs to the yellow-eyed-grass family. It is widely distributed across North America, South America, Mesoamerica, and the West Indies. This species is a perennial herb that can reach up to 100 cm (40 inches) in height. It has grass-like leaves that grow up to 60 cm (2 feet) long, and it produces yellow flowers.
