Xyris fimbriata Elliott, commonly known as fringed yelloweyed grass, is a North American flowering plant that belongs to the yellow-eyed-grass family. This species is native to the coastal plain of the United States, where its range stretches from eastern Texas to New Jersey. Xyris fimbriata is a perennial herb. It can grow up to 150 cm (5 feet) tall, and has grass-like, olive-green leaves that reach up to 70 cm (28 inches) in length. It produces yellow flowers.
