Scientific name: Xylophanes pyrrhus Rothschild & Jordan, 1906. Forewings of this species measure 33–37 mm in length. It resembles Xylophanes thyelia thyelia, but is larger and has different patterns on the forewing upperside, including a smaller discal spot.
