About Xenostegia tridentata (L.) D.F.Austin & Staples
Xenostegia tridentata, commonly called the Narrowleaf morning glory, is a perennial creeper in the Convolvulaceae plant family. It is widely distributed across the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Australia, and has become naturalized in parts of the Americas. Key identifying features of this species are its narrow, arrow-shaped leaves that have toothed bases, and its small funnel-shaped flowers that range in color from yellow to white. It most often grows in sandy soils, coastal areas, wastelands, and cultivated fields, and produces flowers year-round.
