About Xanthorhoe quadrifasiata (Clerck, 1759)
Xanthorhoe quadrifasiata, commonly known as the large twin-spot carpet, is a species of moth that belongs to the family Geometridae. This species can be found across most of Europe, excluding Portugal, Ireland, Iceland and Greece; its range extends eastward into the Near East and the eastern section of the Palearctic realm. The wingspan of adult individuals ranges from 29 to 32 millimeters. Adults are active and in flight from June to July, with one generation produced each year. The larvae of Xanthorhoe quadrifasiata feed on a variety of low-growing plants, including Ribes rubrum and Galium mollugo.
