About Xanthia togata Esper

Xanthia togata, commonly known as the pink-barred sallow, is a species of moth belonging to the family Noctuidae. This is a Holarctic species. Its range covers all of Europe, extends eastward through the Palearctic region to Central Asia, and reaches Siberia as far as Ussuri. Its distribution also includes the United States and Canada. It was first described in 1788 by German entomologist Eugenius Johann Christoph Esper, based on a type specimen collected from Germany.
