Walshia miscecolorella, commonly called the sweetclover root borer moth, is a species of moth that belongs to the family Cosmopterigidae. This species was first described by Vactor Tousey Chambers in 1875. It is native to North America, with documented records ranging from southern Canada in the north, southward to Florida and Texas in the United States. The wingspan of adult Walshia miscecolorella measures roughly between 9.4 and 18.6 millimeters. Adult moths have been observed in flight throughout the entire year. The larvae of this moth feed on the plant species Lupinus arboreus, Lupinus chamissonis, Astragalus, Arachis, Melilotus, and Cirsium vulgare.
