Viviparus acerosus (Bourguignat, 1862) is a species of freshwater snail that has an operculum. It is an aquatic gastropod mollusk belonging to the family Viviparidae, which is commonly known as the river snails. This species has a native Danubian distribution. Within its native range, it can be found in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic (only in Moravia), Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, and Romania. It has a non-indigenous distribution that includes the Netherlands, where it has been present since 2007.
