About Virbia immaculata Reakirt, 1864
Virbia immaculata, commonly known as the immaculate holomelina or plain-winged holomelina, is a moth species belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first described by Tryon Reakirt in 1864. Its range extends from the eastern coast of North America westward to Manitoba. It has also been specifically recorded in the U.S. states of Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. Its larvae have been successfully reared using dandelion and plantain species as food sources.
