Vipera renardi (first described by Christoph in 1861) is a venomous viper species belonging to the family Viperidae. This species is endemic to Eastern Europe and Asia. Currently, five subspecies of Vipera renardi are recognized. Its confirmed geographic range includes China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Its natural habitats are shrubland, grassland, and rocky areas, and it occurs at altitudes ranging from 0 to 2,500 m (0 to 8,202 ft). Vipera renardi reproduces via ovoviviparity.
