About Vicia pannonica Crantz

Vicia pannonica Crantz is an annual herb with a hairy climbing stem that is supported by tendrils growing at the tips of its leaves. Each leaf is composed of 10 to 20 oval or oblong leaflets, which can reach up to 2.5 centimeters in length. Its inflorescence holds two to four pealike flowers, each of which grows up to 2 centimeters long. The flower corolla is yellow or marked with purple, and the back of the banner, the large top petal of the flower, is covered in soft hairs. The fruit produced by this plant is a hairy legume pod that measures 2 to 3 centimeters in length.
