About Vicia cassubica L.

Vicia cassubica L., commonly known as Kashubian vetch and Danzig vetch, is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the genus Vicia. This plant can be found growing in thermophilous oak forests, and it also thrives in late-succession old fields. While its scientific binomial and common names link it to the Kashubian region of Poland, the species is actually native to a much broader range: most of Europe, Turkey, Northern, Northwestern, and Southern European Russia, the Levant, the Caucasus, and Iran.
