About Viburnum suspensum Lindl.

Viburnum suspensum, commonly known as Sandankwa viburnum, is a compact perennial shrub native to Japan. It can reach a maximum height of 3.7 meters. Its coarse, dark green leaves densely cover the shrub. The leaves are oval in shape with serrated edges, growing to around 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long and 2 inches (5 cm) wide, and are arranged oppositely on rough-textured, dark brown stems. Small tubular flowers grow at the ends of new branches in spring, with occasional sporadic blooms appearing through summer. These flowers range in color from white to pale pink. After flowering, small red berries develop in autumn that attract wildlife.
