Viburnum betulifolium, commonly called birchleaf viburnum, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Adoxaceae family. It is native to mainland China and the island of Taiwan. This plant is shade tolerant, and it is often the dominant species in the shrub layer of the forests where it grows. It is widely cultivated in regions outside of China. It produces attractive bronze to burgundy foliage in autumn, and its abundant clusters of bright red berries draw birds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4.
