About Verconia verconis (Basedow & Hedley, 1905)
The scientific name of this species is Verconia verconis, originally described by Basedow & Hedley in 1905. The holotype of Verconia verconis, which was properly documented in the original published description, has either been lost or is currently held in an unidentified repository. Until new specimens of this species are collected, it will remain an incompletely understood taxon. This is a marine species that is found in waters off the coast of South Australia.
