Verbena carnea Medik., commonly known as Carolina false vervain and synonymized as Stylodon carneus, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Verbenaceae family. It is native to Texas and the southeastern United States. It is a short-lived perennial that typically reaches a height of 2 ft (0.6 m). It grows in lower, non-coastal areas, including sand hills, scrubby oak woodlands, and longleaf pine woods.
