Venus casina, formally described by Linnaeus in 1758, is a species of saltwater clam, a marine bivalve mollusc that belongs to Veneridae, the venus clam family. Two different taxonomic databases currently use different binomial names for this species: the World Register of Marine Species classifies it as Venus casina, while the Catalogue of Life refers to it as Circomphalus casina. Ecologically, this species is a suspension feeder, and its known range spans from the United Kingdom to West Africa, the Azores, and also includes the Mediterranean Sea.
