Varronia polycephala Lam., also known by the synonym Cordia polycephala, is a plant species native to the Americas. It is commonly found in open, dispersed locations. This species produces sessile flowers, with inflorescences that are either simple or branched. Its fruits are typically bright red, measure 3 to 4 millimeters in diameter, and are covered by an enlarged calyx. Varronia polycephala grows in tropical forests across the Americas, and is native to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Lesser Antilles, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina.
