About Valenciennea sexguttata (Valenciennes, 1837)

Valenciennea sexguttata, commonly known as the chalk goby, sixspot goby, or sleeper blue dot goby, is a species of goby. It is native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. This goby lives in bays or lagoons at depths between 3 meters (9.8 feet) and 25 meters (82.0 feet), where it occupies silt or sand substrates that have rocks it can burrow under. It grows to a maximum total length of 14 centimeters (5.5 inches), and it can be found in the aquarium trade.
