About Utricularia praetermissa P.Taylor
Utricularia praetermissa P.Taylor is a medium-sized carnivorous plant in the genus Utricularia, growing as either an epiphyte or a terrestrial plant. This species is endemic to Central America, where it occurs in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama. Peter Taylor originally published and formally described Utricularia praetermissa in 1977. It grows on wet tree trunks and wet banks in cloud forests, at altitudes ranging from 1,000 meters (3,281 feet) to 2,800 meters (9,186 feet). It produces flowers between July and October each year.
