Uroplectes vittatus is a scorpion species that belongs to the family Buthidae. This species is native to southern Africa. When its tail is fully extended, the total length of this scorpion is less than 6 centimeters. Its body has a pale yellow-to-orange base color, with a dark-colored back. Most individuals have a line of pale to yellow markings along the center of the back, and often have a dark triangular or V-shaped mark positioned forward of the eyes. Uroplectes vittatus is classified as mildly venomous.
