Upogebia pusilla is a species of mud shrimp that belongs to the genus Upogebia and the infraorder Gebiidea. This species is found in Europe, with populations occurring particularly around the Mediterranean Sea. Its exuviae (shed exoskeletons) are often encountered on shorelines or in shallow underwater habitats. Upogebia pusilla was first formally described in 1792 by Vincenzo Petagna. It inhabits marine areas down to 45 metres (148 feet) deep, and it may occasionally be found in estuarine environments.
