Uperodon rohani is a small frog species. Males typically measure 26โ34 mm (2.6โ3.4 cm) in length, while females measure 28โ35 mm (2.8โ3.5 cm). Its base color is maroon, marked with slightly pale olive yellow spots, blotches, and streaks. Dense olive speckles are present near the belly and thigh, and its foot and ankle are partially translucent. This species occurs throughout Sri Lanka, and is most abundant in the country's lowlands. It occupies wet habitats including ponds and puddles, and is commonly found near human activity. It can be seen in natural and human-made water bodies, reservoirs, agricultural land like paddyfields, and moist areas within human houses and buildings such as bathrooms.
