About Ulex argenteus Welw. ex Webb
Ulex argenteus Welw. ex Webb is a low-growing shrub with an open branching structure. Its branches, stems, and spines are densely covered in short, erect hairs that give the plant its characteristic silvery color. The spines are thin, straight, and sometimes slightly arched. Its calyx typically measures between 7.5 and 8.5 mm long. This species is distributed in southern Portugal, where it grows on both metamorphic and calcareous hills.
