About Tulipa systola Stapf

Tulipa systola Stapf, commonly known as the desert tulip, is a species of tulip that is native to regions of the Middle East, including Sinai, the Levant, Anatolia, Iraq, and Iran. It is a geophyte adapted to arid environmental conditions. In years with unfavorable conditions, it responds to environmental cues by either remaining fully dormant or only producing leaves instead of growing a full flowering plant.
