Tuerkayana celeste, commonly called the Christmas Island blue crab, is a species of crab belonging to the family Gecarcinidae. This species is found exclusively near freshwater habitats on Christmas Island. It was first documented in 1900, but was only recognized as a distinct species separate from Tuerkayana hirtipes in 2012. During the 1950s, Tuerkayana celeste was harvested for food, and it received official protected status in 1980.
