About Tubuca alcocki Shih, Chan & Ng, 2018

Tubuca alcocki is a species of fiddler crab first described by Shih, Chan & Ng in 2018. Its native range covers most of the northern Indian Ocean, stretching from Andaman Sea-facing western Thailand, through the Bay of Bengal and India, to the Red Sea. This is a mangrove species that lives sympatrically with Austruca annulipes, Austruca bengali, Tubuca forcipata, Tubuca paradussumieri, and Austruca iranica.
