About Trypocopris pyrenaeus (Charpentier, 1825)

Trypocopris pyrenaeus (Charpentier, 1825) individuals reach a body length of 12–26 millimetres (0.47–1.02 in). These beetles are blackish in base color, with green, blue and violet iridescence. Their elytra are shiny and relatively smooth, with no striae. Dark individuals of this species show no infrared reflectance from their elytra. The pronotum has slight puncturing. This species is found in Andorra, the British Islands, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and Portugal.
