About Tristaniopsis laurina (Sm.) Paul G.Wilson & J.T.Waterh.

Tristaniopsis laurina is a slow-growing tree that is typically multi-branched. It usually reaches 4.6 to 9.1 meters (15 to 30 feet) in height when grown outside its native habitat, and it can be pruned to keep a compact shape. In its native habitats, this species can grow as tall as 39 meters (128 feet). Its bright yellow flowers have a distinctive scent that some people find unpleasant. The flowers bloom in late spring or early summer, and they attract both honeybees and small native bee species. This species is cultivated as an ornamental tree by plant nurseries for use in private gardens and civic landscaping. It is a popular tree because it is easy to grow and provides good shade. Many specimens are planted as street trees, particularly in Sydney.
