About Trinorfolkia clarkei (Morton, 1888)

Trinorfolkia clarkei, commonly known as Clarke's triplefin or Clarke's threefin, is a species of triplefin blenny in the genus Trinorfolkia. It was described by Alexander Morton in 1888 from specimens collected from Clarke Island in the Bass Strait. This species is found in southern and western Australia, ranging from Camden Haven in New South Wales west to Rottnest Island in Western Australia, and also occurs around Tasmania. It lives on coastal reefs and in estuaries, and is often seen around the pylons that support structures like jetties.
