About Trimeresurus malcolmi Loveridge, 1938
Trimeresurus malcolmi (Loveridge, 1938) has the following scalation features: 19 rows of dorsal scales at midbody, 163 to 174 ventral scales, 64 to 81 subcaudal scales in males and 61 to 64 subcaudal scales in females, and 8 to 9 supralabial scales. When threatened, this species can wiggle its tail back and forth. This species occurs in East Malaysia, at elevations between 1,000 and 1,600 metres (3,280 and 5,250 feet). Its given type locality is "Sungii River, near Bundutuan, Mount Kinabalu, British North Borneo Sabah, at an altitude circa 3,000 feet [914 m]". The preferred natural habitat of Trimeresurus malcolmi is forest. Trimeresurus malcolmi is oviparous.
