In males, the head, thorax, and abdomen are pale or dark reddish brown. Forewings are either pale reddish brown or greyish, marked with two curved, waved antemedial lines. A dark patch is present on the outer margin below the apex. The costal edge is paler, and the cilia are dark reddish brown. Hindwings can be pale or dark reddish brown, or greyish with a reddish brown outer area. The postmedial line on the hindwings is indistinct. The ventral surface is paler, with some dark red stripes. The larvae of this species are elongated and brown, with dark dots and a lateral row of black spots. A slight protuberance occurs on each of the thoracic somites, and on the 5th and 8th somites. A long, slender horn is visible on the anal somite. The larvae feed on species of the genera Streblus and Ficus. The silken cocoon produced by this species is oval and pale in colour.
