About Trillium viride L.C.Beck
Trillium viride is a perennial herb that grows up to 35 centimeters tall. Its flowers can be entirely green, entirely purple, or two-toned with green and purple streaks or bands. This plant grows in richly wooded areas, and is often found on steep hillsides. It prefers the habitats of rich woods, bluffs, and rocky hillsides. Trillium viride has a relatively small native distribution. It grows along the Missouri River in east-central Missouri, and along both sides of the Mississippi River in eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois.
