About Triglochin striata Ruiz & Pav.

Triglochin striata Ruiz & Pav. is a species of flowering plant belonging to the Juncaginaceae family. It is native to Southern Portugal, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and the wider Americas. It is a perennial plant, and its narrow linear leaves have distinct parallel lines. This feature gives the species its most common common name: streaked arrow grass. Additional common names for this species are three-rib arrowgrass and three-ribbed arrow-grass. Most of its habitat is coastal, including damp muddy ground, salt marshes, estuaries, damp seepages on coastal cliffs, boulder beaches, and damp coastal turf. It can also be found inland, around lake margins within marginal turf communities, in other appropriately damp locations, and sometimes even inside tall forests.
