About Trifolium nanum Torr.

Trifolium nanum Torr., commonly known as dwarf clover, is a small perennial clover species that grows in the Rocky Mountains. It is often found at elevations above 11,000 feet, and can survive extreme environmental conditions including blizzards and extreme cold. To adapt to its dry, nutrient-poor, rocky habitat, dwarf clover grows in dense mats. It produces pink, pea-shaped flowers that bloom from June to August.
