Trifolium monanthum A.Gray is a small perennial herb that grows in small clumps of hairless or slightly hairy foliage. Its leaves consist of oval leaflets that reach up to 1.2 centimeters in length. The inflorescence is reduced, holding only a few flowers or just a single flower. The flower corolla can be up to 1.2 centimeters long; it is white, and sometimes marked with lavender speckles. This species blooms from April to June.
