Tridens strictus, commonly called longspike tridens, is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the grass family Poaceae. This perennial plant can grow up to 1.7 metres, which equals 5+1⁄2 feet, tall. It is native to the central and southeastern United States, and there is also a disjunct population of the species located in western Pennsylvania. Tridens strictus is classified as a facultative wetland species.
