About Tricyrtis formosana Baker

Tricyrtis formosana Baker is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial that reaches up to 80 cm (31 in) in height. Stems may be branched or unbranched. Its flowers are trumpet-shaped, and their base color is white or light purple, marked with prominent darker purple spots. Two varieties are recognized: Tricyrtis formosana var. formosana, native to Taiwan and Iriomote, and Tricyrtis formosana var. glandosa (T.Shimizu) T.S.Liu & S.S.Ying, native to Taiwan.
