About Trichostema oblongum Benth.

Trichostema oblongum Benth. is an annual herb that reaches a maximum height of around 50 centimeters (20 inches). Its aromatic foliage is covered in both glandular and nonglandular hairs. Its leaves are elongated or lance-shaped, and measure 2 to 4 centimeters (0.79 to 1.57 inches) in length. The inflorescence consists of a series of flower clusters positioned at each pair of leaves. Every individual flower has a hairy calyx made of pointed sepals, and a tubular, lipped purple corolla. Four curved stamens protrude from the lips of the corolla.
