Trichopisthia is a monotypic moth genus, meaning it contains only one species, in the family Lasiocampidae. The genus was erected by Per Olof Christopher Aurivillius in 1909. Its only species is Trichopisthia monteiroi, which was originally described by Hamilton Herbert Druce in 1887. This species is found in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
