About Trichodiadema occidentale L.Bolus
Trichodiadema occidentale L.Bolus is a small succulent shrub. It has spreading stems that terminate in erect branches, and over time it grows into a mat shape. Its internodes are very short, and the plant grows from a thick, tuberous taproot that can have a variety of shapes. The leaves of this species bear waxy bladder cells, and their tips are covered in a few short, pale hairs. Flowers range in colour from pale apricot to pink, and every petal has a darker purple stripe running down its centre. The stamens form a short, low central cone, which is surrounded by filamentous staminodes.
