Trichodesma zeylanicum (Burm.fil.) R.Br. grows as an erect herb or shrub reaching up to two meters in height, and has a well-developed taproot. Its flowers are blue, and white flowers occur rarely. This species is fairly widespread across Australia, and can be found in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales.
