About Trichocentrum pumilum (Lindl.) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams
Trichocentrum pumilum is a miniature epiphyte with mule ear-shaped leaves, that grows best in hot climates. Its pseudobulbs are small, grow in clusters, are broadly ovoid, and compressed. The plant bears single, apical, coriaceous, suberect leaves, ranging in shape from oblong to ligulate with a subacute tip. Its inflorescence branches are erect, and measure 5–8 cm in length. The plant produces a densely multi-flowered inflorescence with coriaceous, ovate, acute bracts. Individual flowers are small and campanulate, and measure 5 to 8 mm across.
