About Trapelus agilis (Olivier, 1807)
The brilliant ground agama, scientifically named Trapelus agilis (Olivier, 1807), is a species of agama. It is distributed across Central, West, and South Asia, with confirmed populations found in Iran, Pakistan, India, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, and Afghanistan; the subspecies T. a. isolepis occurs in Afghanistan, and its presence in Iraq is unconfirmed. The subspecies race khuzistanensis has its type locality in Khuzistan Province, Iran, 5 km northwest of Haft-Gel on the road to Shushtar. The race pakistanensis is found in southeastern Pakistan and adjacent northwestern India, and its type locality is Gaj-River, Kirthar Range, southeastern Pakistan.
